We’d expect nothing less from Santa Angelina!
Angelina Jolie donated $75,000 to build a primary school for girls in Tangi, Afghanistan where the education facilities were once unsuitable for girls.
The new school with eight classrooms can accommodate up to 800 girls in two shifts which is amazing for the education of women in the country. Says a local teacher:
“This is what we needed here and I believe there is a need for every community if we want to build the future of our country – to build schools and get education.”
How wonderful — and there are also plans to provide secondary education for girls as well in the new school!

According to Eddy Grant they did!
The UK singer is consulting lawyers this week to consider suing the Gorillaz for substantial damages over allegedly plagiarizing a song. Grant insists that the band’s new single Stylo has the same keyboard riff from his 1983 track Time Warp. He even suggests that the group’s leader, Damon Albarn, is completely aware of the steal. He explains:
“Damon Albarn knows in his heart of hearts - it’s unfortunate that we cant get into people’s hearts - he knows that this is a song that he’s loved, in his club days… I don’t know the guy… but he knows this is a song he loves.”
It wouldn’t be too far of a stretch, considering that both artists are signed on with the same publishing company, EMI, but we think this guy is just trying to jump onto their success.

He’s still breaking records!
Pop legend Michael Jackson’s estate has reportedly signed one of the largest recording contracts in HISTORY, which means that his music isn’t going anywhere for quite a long time!
The contract will give Jackson’s former label, Sony, the rights to sell and distribute the pop star’s unheard recordings and back catalogs through 2017!!
Jackson’s estate will apparently be rewarded up to $250 million for the use of his back catalog!
Holy shiz!! That is UNHEARD OF!!
Rob Stringer, chairman of Columbia/Epic Label Group, a division of Sony, says:
“It’s not just a record deal. We’re not just basing this on how many CDs we sell or how many downloads. There are also audio rights for theater, movies, computer games. I don’t know how an audio soundtrack will be used in 2017, but you’ve got to bet on Michael Jackson in any new platform.”
Wow. We hope people are still interested in Jackson in seven years, or this is going to be a MASSIVE misstep for Sony!
